One Tree Hill

While I was in Wilmington, North Carolina I was lucky enough to see the filming of a scene from One Tree Hill. The scene appeared in the second episode of Season 3. The filming took place at about 3am in the morning on the basketball court across the river. They had set up tons of lights along the Wilmington river walk so the buildings could be seen reflecting across the river.

It's amazing how many crew members and time it takes to shoot a scene that ended up being only about a minute and a half long. I spoke to one of the crew and he told me how they had been filming all night on Carolina beach. (In episode two there is a large beach party).
