Unix Router Project

Overview:
I am currently working on building a network router to replace the ADSL router that is currently in use at my student house.

The Current Setup:
There are four people in the house (including me) who all require Internet access. At the moment we are using a Conexant ADSL Router which is connected to an 8 port switch to share our ADSL connection. When the other people in the house all run sharing clients such as Kazaa, it results in web sites responding very slowly. To solve this problem I am trying to install a machine to act as the router and give priority to web traffic.

Proposed Setup:
I have a Pentium 200 PC with 32MBs of RAM to use as the router. I have installed two network cards, (one for connection to the Internet and the other to the LAN). I plan to install FreeBSD since this it should not require a huge amount of RAM and be suited to the job.
